JWR last ran cars at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. They had cars participate at the Beaverun Motorsports Complex where events were held on the dedicated race course as well was the Schenley Park exhibition course.
John Walko himself stepped into the Tiga S2000 for Saturday's events at the Beaverun facilities. Running in heavy rain during the days events John managed to qualify well but timing and scoring wasn't functioning. At the start of the prefinal event Walko pushed through the field and was holding first place at the finish of the first lap.
The prefinal win transferred into the pole position. Walko lead the his class as well as the field overall in the difficult conditions. Unfortunately, Walko was slowed behind lapped traffic which allowed the overall second place Formula B car to approach. At the line the Formula B managed to overpower the Tiga S2000 machine. Despite this, the JWR prepped and Nate Scigliano owned machine finished first overall in class and second overall in the field.
On Sunday, owner Nate Scigliano drove his own machine to success. Scigliano, the quickly improving owner and driver managed to drive his Tiga S2000 through the field to another second overall and first in class.
Scigliano also competed in the Schenley Park exhibition events in his Elva Courier. The JWR prepped Elva managed to prove its potential all weekend around the curb lined street circuit.
John Walk Racing next plans to run vintage events over the weekend of September 10-13 at Watkins Glen and then later at New Jersey Motorsports Park on October 1-4.

Just to let our readers know that we are still here and active we have updated the website a bit. The new site reflects our slightly redirected business direction. JWR is quickly creating a name for itself in the world of competitive vintage racing and we feel our site updates move in that direction. We have a couple of cool cars hanging around the shop that have been running regularly in the North East and are achieving increasing success.
